Carnival Making An Unpopular Change To Their Drink Package

Carnival has recently announced they will be raising the price of their drink package for cruises 5 days and under. Currently, the pre-cruise purchase price is $59.95 per person/per day. The new price (that goes into effect on Oct 8, 2023) will be $69.95 per person/per day. That's a whopping 17% increase. The price for the drink package on 6+ day sailings will remain the same.

The price increase isn't just with Carnival. Guests have seen prices increasing across all cruise lines as companies seek to continue to rebound from their severe losses during Covid. In 2022, Carnival's competitor, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line increased their costs of alcoholic drinks as well as their drink packages.
